What does a car wrap cost in Orange County?
October 15, 2026 · Chris Johnson
A full vinyl wrap in Orange County costs $3,000 to $7,000 and takes 3 to 5 business days. A partial wrap, such as a gloss black roof, a carbon fiber hood or a chrome delete, runs about $500 to $1,500 and usually takes 1 to 2 days. A premium finish like color-shift or a printed design can cost more.
What moves the price
- Size of the vehicle. A coupe takes less film and labor than a full-size truck or a van.
- The film. We use 3M and Avery Dennison. Matte, satin, gloss and metallic finishes sit in the standard range; color-shift and printed wraps cost more.
- How much comes apart. Removing handles, badges and trim lets the film wrap around edges so no original color shows. It takes longer, and it is what makes a wrap look like paint.
- Full or partial. A roof, hood, mirrors or a chrome delete changes the look for a fraction of a full wrap.
How long a wrap lasts here
A professionally installed wrap lasts 5 to 7 years in Southern California. The sun is the main thing that ages it, so hand washing, parking in shade when you can, and skipping brush car washes all add years.
Wrap or paint?
A wrap costs less than a quality repaint, comes in more colors and finishes, and protects the factory paint underneath. When it comes off, the original paint is still there, which is why wraps are popular on leased cars.
The fastest way to an exact number is a photo of your car and the look you want.
